Ryan Bolaños is our Director of Boys Lacrosse at Team NorCal Lacrosse. He brings a wealth of experience in the fields of education and coaching.

Ryan’s passion in life is centered around youth development and helping individuals become the best versions of themselves on and off the field. Working in education in the Campbell School District has built a strong foundation of how to adapt to all learning styles, while finding ways to help others excel and grow in the classroom and on the lacrosse field. His core values revolve around hard work, discipline, inclusion, having a positive attitude and respect for his peers.

Growing up in Southern California, Ryan fell in love with the sport of lacrosse while playing at Aliso Nigel High School in Aliso Viejo. He went on to play at San José State University leading the team in points and being named All League Honorable Mention as a freshman. Ryan stepped away from playing after his first season when he realized his true passion was coaching.

In 2015 Ryan started his coaching career with the San José Vipers Lacrosse Club. In his fourth season, he would go on to lead them to their first ever NCJLA Championship at the high school level. In 2021 he began coaching the Burlingame Coyotes and is still currently with the club coaching the U12s and U14s. Ryan also coached the Boys Varsity Lacrosse Program at Burlingame High School for the 2021 and 2022 seasons. The past two years Ryan coached the class of 2026 for the boys ADVNC Lacrosse Club. He led them to tournament championships at Gold Rush, Lake Tahoe Summit and Santa Barbara Fall Brawl. Since 2023 Ryan has been Head Varsity Coach at Junipero Serra High School in San Mateo and is in his third season with the team.

For the Spring 2025 CIF season, Ryan was named both CCS Coach of the Year as well as a USA Lacrosse Coach of the Year.

In his free time, Ryan enjoys spending time with his fiancée, watching sports and collecting baseball cards.
