Girls High School Travel Teams
The Team NorCal Lacrosse girls’ program is enjoying great success at the 12U, 14U , and high school levels. Since 2015 the program has quadrupled in size, now with multiple teams at each age group.. The program has earned the reputation as one of the elite programs in Northern California. It is directed by Colleen Niklaus, a former standout college player at UC Davis. Before joining the NorCal family, Colleen was the Head Coach for the Girls’ program at St.Ignatius College Preparatory where she led the Varsity team to four consecutive regional and state championships.
The experienced NorCal coaching staff places a strong focus on fundamentals and teamwork, ensuring players learn to compete and excel at a high level, as well as develop necessary life skills such as leadership, collaboration, and a strong work ethic. Coaches prioritize building meaningful connections with each player, crafting individual plans for improvement and development, as well as fostering strong team chemistry.
Girls High School Program Overview
Due to our success, we continue to grow and are forming more teams every year, participating in highly competitive tournaments in California, Oregon, Colorado, Arizona, Nevada, and Utah. Among our favorites are the Santa Barbara Showdown, and Sandstorm Lacrosse Festival, the premier winter tournament on the West Coast, drawing teams from all over the western United States. Each tournament offers excellent competition and a quality venue to test players’ individual and team skills. These high-level tournaments additionally provide great opportunities for our high school players to gain necessary experience and make connections with college recruiters.
