Team NorCal Boys Travel Teams

Team NorCal Boys Travel Teams are built for players who want to compete at a higher level and continue developing their game year-round. Our program provides a structured pathway from youth through high school, combining competitive tournament play with consistent training and development opportunities.

We field multiple teams across age groups to support different skill levels, ensuring each player is placed in the right environment to grow. Our teams compete in local, regional, and national tournaments, including key recruiting events for high school players, giving athletes valuable exposure against top competition.

Boys High School Program Overview

Team NorCal historically fields three Boys High School Teams, providing clear pathways for players at different stages of development and competition.

1. HS Elite

Our best players from all classes. Competes in local, regional, and national recruiting tournaments in advanced brackets. Primarily rising juniors and seniors, with talented underclassmen also on the roster.

2. High School Select

Upperclassmen and younger members competing primarily in local and regional tournaments in competitive brackets.

3. High School Platinum

Primarily underclassmen, along with developing juniors and seniors. Competes mostly in local and some regional tournaments, often in junior-level brackets aligned with the team’s development.

4. Academy Program

Designed for players still in the development phase. Includes practices, SummerBall, High School Fall Ball League, and clinics. When players reach a competitive level, they are offered the opportunity to join a team.

 

Year-Round Play

Team NorCal plays in summer, fall, and winter seasons, with the most intensive periods in summer and fall.

Regional Representation

In a typical year, Team NorCal rosters players from over 40 different high schools across Northern California, from Sonoma County to the South Bay, and from San Francisco to Sacramento.

Tournament Success

Team NorCal has consistently competed and succeeded in major tournaments:

  • HS Elite: Vail Shootout, King’s Showcase, Pacific Lacrosse Festival, Santa Barbara Showdown, Tahoe U19 Boys Tournament, Grapevine, Grand Gobbler
  • Select: King’s Showcase RISE Division champions (3 consecutive years)
  • Platinum: Vail HS B Division champions (2x), Maryland Summer Sizzle runner-up

College Pathway

Our players continue their lacrosse careers at many outstanding colleges and universities. In 2023, over 90 Team NorCal players competed in college programs from NCAA Division I to MCLA Club teams.

Additional Opportunities

Our program offers more playing opportunities beyond travel teams:

  • SummerBall
  • Fall Ball League
  • Summer Day Camps and Bear Valley Overnight Camp

For Travel Team and Academy players, SummerBall and High School Fall Ball League are included in the team fee.

Program Goals and Philosophy

  1. Play and Improve: Play a lot of lacrosse, compete in tournaments, and develop through strong coaching and competitive teammates. Practices reflect college-level expectations.
  2. College Opportunities: Provide guidance and recruiting support for players interested in playing at the next level.
  3. Enjoy the Experience: Build friendships, enjoy competition, and create a positive environment for players and families.
